Butterfly Valves
Butterfly valves have a low torque, quarter-turn rotation where the flow flows straight.
The disc rotates, pivoted along its axis, until it is fully open.
The seats can be soft or metal.
There are two main types of construction:
Conventional - the shaft passes through the disc axis and the seats are generally resilient (elastomers) and suitable for low pressures.
High Performance - with double or triple eccentric disc and resilient or metal seat for high pressures.
